Having
more than 20 years experience working in the corporate world, I decided
that I wanted to run my own business working from home.
After studying fashion and textile design at Art College, I worked as a graphic artist and designer for 10 years (in the old cut and paste, pre computer days!), and then decided that I wanted a career change.
My next job was in the travel industry with Thomson Holidays working in various roles. I started as a Sales Advisor, then the Duty Office where I eventually became a Flight Operations Controller and then moved to work in the Flight Planning department.
Following a house move to Luton I worked for Britannia Airways (part of the Thomson group) as an Advance Planning Executive.
Having decided that I wanted to set up my own business I gratefully accepted voluntary redundancy!
Through a
friend, I learnt about Virtual Assistants and decided that was the area
I wanted to work in. I then took the VA Mastery Course, at the time run
by Ginny
Baillie and now run by Carmen
MacDougall.
Before getting the business started, we moved to Turvey, a North Bedfordshire village where I now have an office with wonderful views across the countryside.
Away from
my office I enjoy life with my husband, 3 dogs and a chinchilla!
